Planning is Telos's date-first timeline for deciding when work should happen, understanding what it affects, and keeping customer commitments visible as the plan changes.
See the work as outcomes
Roadmap shows one row and one timeline bar for each opportunity. It is the high-level view for product conversations, planning reviews, and sharing progress with stakeholders. Phases appear as dated markers on an opportunity's bar, so the delivery arc is visible without turning the roadmap into a task list.
Use Roadmap to compare opportunity windows, spot schedule conflicts, and understand how the portfolio is moving toward its objectives.
Work at the level of execution
Delivery expands the same timeline into a tree: opportunity, phase, task, and subtask. This is where teams inspect the work behind an outcome, follow dependencies, and adjust the dates that drive the schedule. Tasks without an opportunity remain visible as standalone delivery work.
Roadmap and Delivery use the same underlying schedule. Switching views changes the level of detail, not the plan itself.
Move work with the plan in view
Drag an opportunity or task to reschedule it. Telos recalculates dependent work and shows the expected blast radius before anything is saved. Stage several moves together, review the affected objectives and customer commitments, then commit the changes as one planning update.
If a move would leave a customer promise without its delivery work, Telos pauses the update for acknowledgement. You can then commit the change and, when appropriate, notify the affected customer channel.
Filter the timeline to the conversation you need
Spotlight an objective, narrow the view to one or more teams, sort the rows, and adjust the zoom from the Planning toolbar. When cycle planning is enabled, Show cyclesadds the relevant cycle windows above the date axis without changing the schedule.
