Strategy records the choices about how the organisation will move toward its vision. It gives teams a shared set of active beliefs for deciding what to pursue, build, and review.
A set of choices, owned by a stakeholder
Strategies are written documents owned by a person and readable by everyone with access to the organisation. A strategy can be a draft, active, or archived. Only active strategies are treated as current guidance for alignment and AI consumers.
Keep every strategic change inspectable
Each content edit creates a new version. The Version history rail shows the current and earlier versions, lets the owner label a change, and opens a diff between adjacent versions. The history is the record of how a choice changed, while the active strategy remains the version teams use today.
Share updates when choices change
Publishing a draft or updating an active strategy broadcasts a notification to the organisation, with a link to the strategy. The notification appears in the live Notifications drawer so people can follow the change as soon as it happens. Mentions in the document still notify the people named in them.
Keep reviews connected to the newest strategy
Insight alignment reviews and opportunity AI reviews read the current active strategies when they run. Strategy Challenge also reads the current vision and other active strategies, so it can test whether a strategy serves the direction and fits with the organisation's other choices.
Work that was approved against an earlier strategy version shows Strategy drift when that strategy changes. Open the indicator to compare the version used at approval with the current version and decide whether the work still stands.
